I wish my husband wasn't so adverse to needles lol....but he flat out refuses, even in emergency...to even look or touch the needle lmao....oh well :)

As to an emergency - possibly you could make arrangements with one of the vet techs at your vets to give shots in an emergency?  Would involve $$ I'm sure, but one of them might be willing to help....
